On Thursday, 30th October, St Ignatius came alive with its much-loved annual event, St Ignatius’ Got Talent. The evening celebrated the remarkable creativity and skill of our ākonga, featuring a wide variety of performances — from soulful singing and dynamic dance routines to a lively saxophone solo and a full band performance. There was truly something for everyone to enjoy.
The judging panel was made up of an impressive trio of special guests — award-winning musician Jenni Smith and acclaimed actors Aidan O’Malley and Greta van den Brink — who were blown away by the confidence, talent, and stage presence displayed by all performers.
Though every performer was a star in their own right, the final results were as follows:
Singing Winner – Rupert Archer singing ‘My Way’
Dance Winner – Maddison Briones Oncha, Elise Clotworthy and Kendall Yates
Instrumental Winner – Samuel Speedy on Piano playing ‘All of Me'
Overall 2025 Winner – Skylar Vibal singing ‘Shallow’
St Ignatius’ Got Talent continues to be a highlight of the school calendar, and we look forward to discovering even more incredible talent when the event returns in 2026 and beyond.
