International Week 2026 celebrated diverse cultures with assemblies, dance performances, Diwali sweets, lantern-making, and an International Food Festival.
International Week 2026
What an amazing week celebrating the rich cultures and diversity of our school community!
The week began with a special assembly acknowledging International Festival Week, where teachers shared prayers in their own languages. We also enjoyed vibrant lunchtime cultural dance performances.
On Wednesday, staff celebrated Diwali with a wonderful spread of sweets, which students also enjoyed for free. A special thank you to our Year 7 student, Abel Mony, for leading the creative lantern-making activity.
On Thursday, we celebrated Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Thank you to Cynthia and her sons, Torito and Nacho, for sharing this wonderful cultural experience with our students.
Friday's International Food Festival was the highlight of the week, bringing our community together through delicious food and cultural sharing.
A heartfelt thank you to all our students, parents, whānau and staff for your support and contributions in making International Festival Week such a great success. Together, we celebrated the beauty of our diversity and the strength of our school community!
