Visit from Missio NZ (The Pontifical Mission Societies)

On Monday, we were pleased to welcome Fr Michael Pui from Missio NZ (The Pontifical Mission Societies) to the college. Fr Michael spoke to three Religious Education classes about the Pontifical Mission Societies' work and how it supports Catholic communities worldwide through prayer, education, and practical assistance.The classes enjoyed hearing stories from the Church's missionary work and learning how they can help support the Church's global mission next term, when we will have a Wear Your Own Clothes Day to raise funds. A highlight of the visit was Fr Michael's life-sized cardboard cut-out of Pope Leo XIV, which proved very popular with students and provided a memorable way to discuss the Pope's role in the life of the Church. We thank Fr Michael for sharing his time, enthusiasm, and insights with our students.
